Here we go.. the end of the Cataclysm.

The blast knocked everyone off of their feet, and everything seemed to fade into darkness, even the sound of the roaring ocean around them. Only moments earlier, they had fought the remnants of The Destroyer, the madness within him, caused by the Old Gods. The heroes had not been alone in the ordeal, as the four great dragon Aspects had done their best to aid them. But what can mere mortals do against the madness of the Old Gods?

Thilda looked around her. Time itself seemed to have slowed down, as everyone moved in slow motion. Several of her friends – brothers and sisters of the guild Tabula Rasa – had already buckled and lay seemingly dead or unconscius on the platform. This was what she saw, as the final blast knocked her over, and everything faded into darkness.

Screaming. Someone was screaming. She wasn’t sure if it was a spark of her own imagination, or if it was real. There were other sounds as well.. someone mumbling.. someone groaning. But still.. the screaming as well. Her senses began to return to her, and she felt the cold sea spray on her face. She slowly opened her eyes and to her surprise the sky was above her, not pitch black as expected, but a delicate blue and orange. It seemed that the clouds had cleared and the morning sun was carefully peeking over the horizon in the east. Thilda was still puzzled over the screaming. It sounded so familiar..

”Help me!” Phenacite yelled. She had been knocked off the platform, and just barely managed to hold on.

”Oh dear..” Thilda mumbled to herself, and tried to get on her feet. Vertigo hit her as she stood up, but a fast healing spell calmed her down, and she managed to stand up straight, and she looked around in the direction where she heard the cry for help.

”Phenny?” she called out.

”Tri? Tri! Help me! Get me up!”

Thilda managed to pull Phenacite up to the platform again, and the two of them shared a fast, relieved embrace.

”The others..?” Phen asked.

”I don’t know yet,” Thilda said, ”we have to check on them. By Cenarius, I hope that they haven’t been knocked off as well..!”

A short while later, they had found and counted all of their friends. As if by a miracle, they had all survived the battle, albeit most had injuries of some kind. Phenacite and the priestess, Zahrah, were doing their best to get everyone back on their feet, by mending their wounds and soothing any pain. Thilda glanced at the four dragons, that were slowly getting up as well. Did they seem.. smaller?

And just like that.. The Cataclysm is over, and we’re ready for Mists of Pandaria. I’m excited to see what the next expansion will bring for us.

Too.. much.. GLITTER!

After a very convincing couple of kills on Ultraxxion and Blackhorn, it was time to have a go at Spin(e) of Deathwing.

After quite a few attempts, where one or the other misunderstood the commands from our (luckily) patient Raid Leader – damn it’s confusing when Boss Mods yells GET SECURE and Alan yells NOT YET, MIDDLE! – we finally made it. Deathwing crashed as the big bug that he is, into the Maelstrom.

You’d think he’d be Therazane’s problem now, but it seems like the Old Gods aren’t ready to let go of their priced stud just yet. We had a pretty neat go at Madness of Deathwing before raid time was up. And we also got to see what happens if he finishes casting Cataclysm … In the utter darkness, it was a relief to see Phen’s reincarnate macro’s speech bubble “I’m up, I’m up!”. Phew!

Well done, homies. One to go!

Ouch.. that outta hurt..

Ultraxxion – an obvious gear check for the second half of Dragon Soul, was downed by us tuesday night. Although, with just about 20 seconds to spare on the enrage timer, gearing up a little more is probably not a bad idea. We had quite a lot of tries on the Warlord on the Skyfire afterwards, but struggled immensely with it, so I’d say that killing the gearcheck is no guarantuee the rest is a walk in the park :)

We did pretty much walk all over Ultraxxion again wednesday night, though, as well as the first 4 in the Siege, so we’re doing pretty well, here in our 3rd week in Dragon Soul.

Nice with a raid night where we weren’t plagued (too much) with disconnects, so the ice walls would pwn us..

Second “proper” raid night in Dragon Soul, and Hagara the Stormbinder falls. Ultraxion also came close to meeting his end, but it seemed we hit a bit of a gear wall there, so battling the enrage timer was a challenge. Next week, Inspector Gadget, NEXT WEEK!

We dropped into the depts of whatever old god bodypart (ugh..) Warlord Zon’Ozz lives in. Judging by the minimap, he lives in a… no, let’s not go there.. :-/

Anyways, after a bit of volleyball training, we managed to down him, fairly easily.

Trying to cleanse this disgusting place with the power of pine.

Full of confidence we drop into what appears to be the stomach, filled with disgusting slimey acids /shudder.

At first we got all the “good” slime combinations (“go to the center.. go to the center.. go to the center.. WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU DO, DO NOT STAND NEXT TO OTHER PEOPLE!!” AKA conflicting tactics xD)

But, eventually we got a better fight with much easier slime combos, and Yor’Sahj the Unsleeping (who can sleep inside a stomach anyways?) fell like the pile of partially digested crap he is ;)

Is that glitter coming outta his arse? :O

The one screenshot I had in my folder, with no dead dragons falling from the sky...

This wednesday, as we all know, patch 4.3: Hour of Twilight arrived on Azeroth, and with it came the new raid, Dragon Soul. In true TR spirit, we had to spend patch night in this new place, so after searching around Dragonblight and Wyrmrest Temple for the instance portal (duh! It’s in Caverns of Time!), we went in for our first look.

We killed some trash mobs, and apparently one of them, some big dude called Morchok, dropped epic loot :) A little surprised to see how undertuned the first boss of the raid was, as we felled him on our first try, but I must say things looked different as we tried out the second encounter, which even had us wiping multiple times on trash! I guess we’re just not sporty tennis types…

Quite the ominous sight...

The Day of the Dead. Seems that more than Catrina were to be dead on this day.

We had waited long enough, wiped night after night, each time going back to Stormwind with a bacon-ish smell to us, frustrated that we still didn’t manage to end Ragnaros’ reign of terror in the Night Elves’ beloved Mt. Hyjal. But no more. No more shall he threaten to burn our trees. No more shall he be the cause of poor Mylune having nightmares of fluffy animals dying. No more shall we arrive too soon. Because this night, the Day of the Dead, the first day of the 11th month.. he is no more. Or well.. at least we think so. Well.. I guess.. he kind of slipped away.. or.. turned into a giant chest of loots? To be honest.. We’ve no clue where he buggered off to. Maybe he had to check on his prosthetic legs? *shrugs*

Nonetheless, he’s gone now. Or at least appears to be. If it wasn’t for the raid reset, at least.

Last night was also testament to the usual panicking Tri, as the stress and pressure caused at least 1 suicide. But what the heck…

He wasn’t too happy about it, and tried both Feral Charge: Cat and massive Swipe, but we were pretty determined to turn our own druids into shiny fire kitties. Oh yeah, and we weren’t too happy about the whole “Morrowgrain was really used to try to kill Malfurion”-thing either..

To make a long story short.. we now have at least one fire kitty in the guild ;)

Farming Morrowgrain is NOT cool -_-

On a slightly lighter note: The Firelands is GREAT this time of year!

I might rent a cabin here, once we clean it out of Ragnaros and the rest of his cronies.

We celebrated with a big BBQ’ed chicken called Alysrazor. It was clever, since we didn’t need any coals or anything ;)

She was not amused.. But you know.. that's life when you're an evil bastard.
